The State Grid Ultra High Voltage (UHV) Shandong Ring Line is the nation's first provincial-level UHV dual-ring key energy infrastructure project, tasked with the core mission of transmitting clean energy such as nuclear power from the Jiaodong Peninsula and offshore wind power to external regions. The project spans over a thousand kilometers, traversing various terrains including mountains, coastal mudflats, and urban road networks. Some sections are close to the sea, while the project also faces complex external conditions such as diurnal temperature variations due to Northern China’s seasonal changes, coastal salt spray, and mountain wind and sand. The substations and switching stations are dispersed, with numerous and scattered supporting pipelines for cooling, fire protection, water supply and drainage, and cable protection, which impose stringent requirements on the environmental durability, batch consistency, and long-term field service capability of the materials used in the power engineering project.  

The project's construction line is long and the construction sites are dispersed, with significant differences in working conditions across different terrain sections. Multiple scenarios coexist, including outdoor open fields, indoor station rooms, and underground trenches, which place high demands on product batch stability and on-site adaptability. Based on the practical conditions of energy infrastructure projects, Baolai Steel provides pipe material solutions for this key energy project, supporting the construction of pipeline networks across all stations. To address the two typical environments of mountain wind and sand and coastal salt spray, the material selection and surface protection processes are strictly controlled during production to minimize performance fluctuations between batches. Leveraging its in-house laboratory, the company conducts multidimensional safety performance testing, adapting to the practical characteristics of long-term unattended field operations and reducing future inspection and maintenance pressures.
